Media tabulations of county-by-county recounts put the Bush lead at just 362 votes, with 3 counties left to report. Overseas & absentee ballots won't be fully counted till NEXT Thursday.

Media tabulations of county-by-county recounts put the Bush lead at just 362 votes, with 3 counties left to report. Overseas & absentee ballots won't be fully counted till NEXT Thursday.

Democrats are also pushing for hand recounts in four key counties, which could easily erase this small margin: Palm Beach, Dade, Broward and Volusia. These four counties have 1.78 million votes, many of them Democratic.

Ballots that aren't fully punched through routinely *don't* get counted by machine, but *would* be counted in a hand recount. One extra vote per precinct would be enough to give Gore a solid margin of victory.
