its time to get rad. the time is right. I lifted this from the main Indymedia site to bring to LA. Perhaps waiting until January is too late.

A Call to Action to Expose our False Democracy: Protest the Inauguration!
by Shameka Holden 1:16pm Thu Nov 9 '00

The political turmoil created by this fraudulent, hollow election
provides us a momentous opportunity to mobilize massive
resistance to the undemocratic nature of the state. On
inauguration day, we must take to the streets of Washington en
masse and demand control over the decisions that affect our
lives. No more election hypocrisy! No more bureaucratic
nonsense! Direct democracy now!... by any means necessary.

Now is the time to make preparations for what could be the loudest and most effective
demonstration against the validity of the state in decades. The American public is
confused and disturbed by the failure of its government to even appear to respond to
the will of the people. The outcome of the election has prompted many to criticize the
entire structure of the electoral process, arguably the most important function of the
state. We must seize this opportunity of unrest to send a message to the White House
and the general public that we will not accept nor observe the authority of a
bureaucratically elected regime which endorses capital punishment, institutionalized
racism, environmental degradation, worker exploitation, and the repression of political
opposition. No longer will we tolerate a state of the elites, by the elites and for the
elites. Anarchists, Greens, Socialists, Communists, and anyone else disgusted by the
failure of our political system to serve its people, mobilize! Several groups, most of
them condemning the death penalty and demanding clemency for political prisoners,
have already begun organizing marches and demonstrations for January 20th. Let's
join them in their efforts and bring our message to the rotten, corporate White House.
Down with the corporate reign of terror! Down with the disenfranchisement of a
"democratic" nation! Power to the people!
