Lock Down At NAB

4 activists lock down at Moscone Center entrance, others scuffle with cops on way to Clear Channel, where they are confronted by shock jocks.

This morning 4 protesters entered the NAB convention at Moscone Center in San Francisco, and locked themselves together with Kryptonite bike locks. They chanted loudly and at great length while befuddled NAB members looked on. San Francisco fire department finally cut them loose and arrested them.

A march on the nearby offices/studios of Clear Channel Communications, one of the worst media monopolies, resulted in a couple of arrests after a minor scuffle with the cops. Two on-air morning shock-jock DJs came out with wireless mikes and got into a rousing shouting match with protesters. Many naughty words probably not meeting community standard for morning drive time were exchanged, most from the jocks. It isn't known if any got on-air.
