Send A Radiogram To NAB

Celebrate the Equinox by helping San Francisco send a radiogram to the greedy NAB that we've had it.

Along with being the most greedy lobby in the country, making Big Tobacco look downright benign, the NAB has perverted electromagenetic communication into a tool for corporate enslavement.

On Saturday S23, at 6 PM Pacific or (as real radio people put it), Sunday S24 at 0100 UTC, these alpha hotels have the balls to give out Marconi Awards. Marconi built his wireless to save lives (and to make himself a ton of money), not to ruin them like American broadcasters do. The use of Marconi's name to honor Rush Limbaugh and other such recipients is obscene. He deserves better.

Since the people own ALL the airwaves, it's time for shortwave radio geeks to join the struggle. Send a message at 0100! Use anything that transmits a radio wave, or even emits them by accident, or use air horns and music synthesizers to make a sound. Send a radiogram from the geeks of America to the creeps of America.

I suggest the following Morse code:

..-. ..- -.-. -.- -. .- -...

Look it up in your Boy Scout manual. Enough people know Morse that they'll get it. Maybe they'll join in. Yes, this is illegal, sort of, but then so is turning right on a red light in New York City.

Radio is strong. In solidarity,

-- .- .-. -.-. --- -. ..
