Propaganda needs its security..

by Normand Bonenfant Monday, Aug. 14, 2000 at 4:40 PM

You know it requires a great deal of security to filter the raw, urgent truth of any conflict from the general public. God forbid that we are expected to be as intellectual or more so than those in power.

love them cops...! GO TEAM BLUE!

by Big Blue Monday, Aug. 14, 2000 at 5:19 PM

Thank God for the police. Without them the anarchy you crave would become a reality...and you would all be victims of your own arrogance..

Don't be a simplton Big Blue

by Thom Monday, Aug. 14, 2000 at 7:53 PM

Big Blue,

Obviously you don't have much of an idea what anarchist stand for. Though I am not an anarchist, I do sympathize with many anarchist thinkers and activist. But I also believe in the Rule of Law as an effective tool against tyranny. And the fucking police better start respecting the law. Ultimately these demonstrations are for Humans over Profits, Humans before Capital. Don't be a dumbass.

I don't know why you are thanking god that a group of uniformed thugs are preparing themselve in military fashion to occupy an American City. When a domestic military force is used against Americans doesn't it seem to contradict the idea of "The Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave"?

How brave are the cops with their millions of dollars in assualt weapons and military training attacking unarmed hippie protest kids? To me, it seems like they are just a bunch of bully thugs hired to protect the wealthy at any cost.

The cops should show some respect for the LAW. So far in Seattle, Washington DC and in Philidelphia the police have shown no respect for political assembly or dissent. They piss all over the Law.

The police should be arrested and tried for their crimes against the citizens of the United States of America and for their crimes against humanity.

Corporate Media Provokes Ignorance

by Normand Bonenfant Monday, Aug. 14, 2000 at 8:27 PM
NBonenfant@webtv.net West Warwick, Rhode Island

CNN portrayed protesters as a movement of dimwits not knowing what they are protesting against. I am certain that no one wants to be subjected to the violations committed against those incarcerated in Seattle, DC, and Philadelphia. I certainly hope the situation differs somewhat in Los Angeles but I sincerely doubt it. Kudos to Thom for his homework....respect to Big Blue for his opinion (please keep an open mind, dude). My advice to all is to CAPTURE THE ATTENTION OF ALL MEDIA and HOLD THEIR FOCUS HOSTAGE while the demonstratios are in duration. Peace to all on this new day rising.
