We have figured out a simple way of developing a more concrete connection between the more than one hundred political prisoners being held in the wake of recent demonstrations around the Republican National Convention, and the millions of people worldwide in whose hearts and thoughts those prisoners reside on a daily basis. Toward this end, we have created a service to collect letters over the Internetand deliver them to activists still incarcerated on trumped up charges and bails.

That service is called Mail Solidarity. It consists of a website where you can enter your personal, open message to political prisoners, and view those posted by others. Each day, or on as regular a basis as necessary, members of On the Ground will print out all new letters, compile them into a package, and deliver them by mail to contacts within the Philly prisons where activists are still being held. They will then be distributed as widely as possible to all
those incarcerated for connection with the R2K protests.
