THE DEAD STILL SPEAK

I photographed this sad memorial to those immigrants who have died trying to get into the U.S. from Mexico. Some have been shot and killed by the INS, some have been murdered by bandits seeking to exploit them, others have simply perished in the broiling sun without water. This simple act of hanging crosses on the security fence surrounding the Staples Center occurred on the last day of the CONvention.
