Please post media not commentary. I don't think that indymedia would pull your 'story' because it was a message they didn't like but probably because it was not a story. Maybe if you added some context - facts - details - a personal 'story' then it would have stuck around.
If you want to make a comment than please so so on a specific story to which it applies. Then I (a reader) won't click on your comment in the NEWSWIRE hoping to hear news or at least a 'story'
Thanks.
I'm addicted to IMC News and I can understand if that with the amount of attention this site - the IMC network - and the NEWSwire gets that there is more of an effort to keep the newsire for media uploads and stories not comments.
Try again... and tell a story or take your comment to the appropriate place.

Half the postings here are “commentary” as opposed to news. Why was mine chosen for editing?
I don't know, but I suspect your post was pulled because you didn't post properally. You can see the archive, including hidden articles, by going to http://www.la.indymedia.org/display.php3?led=y. You'll see that for some reason there was not text in the body of the message you posted.
In general, most IMC's have a policy of removing only posts which could be illegal (lible), are patently untrue (several posts about bombs going off in the staples center), or are spam. We've had a lot of debate about this very issue. I think the conclusion we came to is we need to implement a way for the community of people who view the site to make the editoral decisions by voting on the articles. We implemented it for the philly site, but due to nasty bugs, those features didn't make it up on the LA site.
I suggest you try reposting your commentary.
Well the first one was up on the sidebar then it was gone. But I will take your word for it that it was a technical problem. Let's see how the re-post fares.
