To create the enlightened society we envision, we need more than good and honest political leaders. We need an empowered citizenry who: 1) believes in its capacity to make a difference, 2) knows how to exercise discernment and hold its representatives to a higher standard, 3) embraces differences while affirming our essential connection, and 4) is actively involved in making our world a better place in which to live.
