Five years ago, a multi-agency task force raided a dungeon of a sewing factory in the L.A. suburb of El Monte. What they found there horrified labor and human rights advocates, but has fortunately spurred a major increase in immigrant labor organizing in the LA basin. This is an update on how the 72 mostly female Thai sewers have come up from utter servitude to factory ownership in just five years. 4:52
