These are images from the DNC protests including the entrapment of critical mass cylists on 8/15/2000. After being escorted by police cruisers, bicycles and motorcycles for nearly an hour, critical mass bicycle riders were corralled under the 10 freeway, violently arrested and detained for nearly 48 hours.

Philly and LAPD's new commercial:
"Civil lawsuit filed by the ACLU:
$25-$60 million...
"Average suspended pay when your entire precinct is indicted for planting evidence, murdering prisoners:
$20,000-$42,000...
"Validating your penis-envy and lack of humanity by beating and harassing puppeteers, bicyclists, and other peaceful demonstrators:
Priceless.
"Some things you can't put a price on. For everything else, there's TAXPAYERS."
p.s. - fuck mastercard.

The criticalmassDNC site will be up in the early part of next week. Setting up the site and allowing the domain to become active takes a few days, especially when you have to spend nearly 3 days in county jail.

I am one of the many cyclists who participated in the critical mass event during the DNC. It was my first time riding my bike with so many other people. I don't think i've ever felt so free in my life. It's a great feeling I think everybody should experience at least once. Like many others, I thought the bicycle cops following us were making sure we didn't do anything like break windows or assault motorists. Little did I know that their intentions were to surround us under a bridge and arrest us all for petty crimes, ie: reckless driving(of a bicycle) not wearing helmet, failure to stop at stop sign, etc. I hope there are many more critical mass bike rides in the future because the pigs didn't ruin my day. The fun I shared with those great people was worth the time I spent with those donut-gobbling bastards. Long live Critical Mass!
