Flint, Environmental Racism, & the Trump Regime

Friday, February 10 at 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM PST

2936 W 8th St, Los Angeles, CA 90005

Residents of Flint, among thousands of other communities across the nation, are still facing a water crisis as high levels of lead and other chemical toxins and carcinogens continue to pollute the water. Despite knowing about this widespread infrastructure crisis that predominantly affects Black, Latino, and Native people throughout the country the Trump regime has made no plans to address it. Trump's record in the first couple weeks on the environment is a scorched earth policy aimed at the Environmental Protection Agency, including putting a stop to their work, barring them from speaking to media, and outright planning to eliminate the agency altogether. Trump is also already threatening the federal funds that are aimed toward cleaning up toxic waste, brown fields, and more. As the government continues to ignore the residents of Flint who are demanding new pipes and clean water they have jumped at the opportunity to give easement to Wall Street's new oil pipelines and assault the Water Protectors in Standing Rock. Join the Party for Socialism and Liberation for a special discussion on environmental racism in the era of Trump and Flint's fight for clean water.

Limited parking on Westmoreland/8th. Red or Purple line to Wilshire/Vermont station.
