On 1/24, over sixty members of California's 45th congressional district went to Congresswoman Mimi Walters' office to demand to be heard on the repeal of the ACA and for a viable replacement. We are at it again. This time we are concerned about immigration and the purposed Muslim ban. On Jan 24 an executive order was signed to build "The Wall." On Jan 25 there is speculation an executive order will be signed for a Muslim ban, specifically to ban immigration/refugees from Muslim countries. We want to let Congresswoman Walters know that her constituents stand in STRONG opposition to these measures, and would like to have the opportunity to discuss her positions on immigration and banning Muslims from entering the country. Unfortunately, Walters has so far remained out of her district, and has declined to even announce a town hall meeting where her constituents would be able to voice their concerns in person and seek a committment from her that she would fight to protect those who come to this country in search of a better life. We will not let her absence discourage us. Whoever you are, come stand in solidarity and DEMAND that your Congresswoman listen to your concerns!
