Line up behind last float on Orange Grove Ave.

? START MARCHING

We will march immediately behind last float & tow trucks. (City and parade officials have been notified and we are working with them to make sure we have the space immediately at the end of the parade to exercise our first amendment right to express our message) Please note that we are not an official participant of the parade. Organizers of this event have the experience organizing for this parade. It is extremely important that we be creative with our props and signs. Traditionally people stay in their seats to watch the people's parade.

? PARADE ROUTE IS 5.5 MILES

? WHAT TO WEAR

? Comfortable shoes

? Its cold early in the morning but will get warm as you began to March

? If sunny use sun screen

? SIGNS AND BANNERS

This is a family friendly event.

? No signs with profanity allowed.

? Stay on point. This event is in support of Water Protectors and NoDAPL. Be creative and bring an extra sign to share. Absolutely no signs that promotes hate or negative messages.

(Keep in mind that we need to built public support for our cause). We are not there to debate but to share the Water is Life message. Make your banners and signs as light as possible. We are marching closed to six miles.

? PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

We recommend to use public transportation. Use the Gold Line and get off on Filmore Station. Walk to California Blvd. and go west to Singer Park (St John Ave and California Blvd.)

If you are driving we recommend to drive to the end of the parade route, find parking and take the Gold Line back to Filmore Station and back to the park.

? No motor vehicles allowed

? No arguing with parade fans

? No drugs or alcohol

? Please follow directions from the safety team.

? It is extremely important to invite people. We need to show a strong presence. We need to built public support for the fight against the pipeline. Our unity is our strength.
