DESCRIPTION:
download PDF (109.6 kibibytes) This discussion will lead to a deeper understanding of the role faith communities can take in public engagement. We will define “politicking from the pulpit” and ensure that there is understanding of what constitutes violations of the Internal Revenue Service tax code. We want to take this time to begin to imagine and envision what a faithful and constructive public engagement looks like and how faith communities can engage in advocacy and organizing without causing others harm. We will create a space so that deeper understanding and deeper connections can be made and can lead to a more coordinated and stronger connection of faith partners in their local communities.
