This two day conference will focus on building student power on our campuses via structures of direct/participatory democracy (i.e. all students are involved in the decision-making process), solidifying relationships across the state based on issues important to us, and planning a statewide action together for Fall 2014 around our common interests in fighting the student debt, attack on workers’ rights, cuts to departments/services, killing of shared governance/democracy, human rights’ violations, and student repression that stem from the continued privatization of our educations and our futures.

Can’t make it to one of the two days? No worries! We\'ve set up the conference so that those attending on either day will get the full experience of the day’s goals and objectives. The first day, Friday, will focus on getting to know the CASU student unionist project, sharing our issues/campaigns, and building stronger relationships with each other. The second day, Saturday, will focus on building off of those relationships to plan a unified statewide action for Fall 2014.

Coming in from out of town and need help finding housing and coordinating a ride? We\'ve got you covered! We\'ve set up the registration process so that people can indicate whether they can provide or are in need of housing and rides. As an fyi, for past conferences, we\'ve been able to place all out-of-towners with local student housing accommodations. It has been a bit harder to guarantee rides, but we will try our best!
