Join Oscar-winning director Oliver Stone in a panel discussion following the screening of the film, "South of the Border", as well as the current situation in the region. Panelists include co-producer Suzie Gilbert, and Professor Miguel Tinker Salas. The film features 7 elected South American presidents, including Hugo Chávez, and illustrates the social and political movements in the region. A medida que se acercan las elecciones presidenciales en Venezuela, los que estamos en solidaridad con la Revolución Bolivariana no preparamos para una jornada de acciones de solidaridad este 11 de abril para exigir:

¡No a la intervención estadounidense en las elecciones venezolanas!

Como parte de esta fecha, Ricardo Moreno y la Asociación Simón Bolívar patrocinan una exhibición especial de la innovadora cinta de Oliver Stone: Al Sur de la Frontera. El documental destaca entrevistas con presidentes suramericanos electos, incluyendo Hugo Chávez.

En la cinta también se ilustra a los distintos movimientos sociales y políticos de la región, como también la batalla que los pueblos latinoamericanos libran para recuperar los recursos en sus propias tierras del imperialismo estadounidense.
