The Koreatown Popular Assembly is launching a rapid response network to protect our neighborhood from ICE raids and deportations. We're inviting the community to our first training on June 24, where people will learn how to be part of the verification and observation team that will be first responders to reports of ICE or Border Patrol presence in Koreatown.

The goal of the Koreatown Rapid Response Network is to create an ICE-free Koreatown. We are creating a rapid response network that will organize neighbors to respond to ICE raids by coming out into the streets together in numbers to disrupt ICE's ability to terrorize our neighborhood. This training focuses on the first steps of that response - the verification and observation of raids and detentions.

This event will be bilingual Spanish/English.

There will be a second training for the rapid response network on November 4th from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. Anyone who wants to become a dispatcher for the rapid response network (answering phone calls and coordinating the raid response) should attend one of the first responder trainings on Oct. 21st or Nov. 4th and then come to a follow-up meeting on the next Wednesday (Oct. 25 and Nov 8) from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
