Demonstrate for Health Care - Long Beach

Sunday, July 30, 3:00 PM

The front entrance to the Veterans Administration Hospital

5901 E. 7th Street

Long Beach, CA 90808

Directions:

7th Street, Bellflower Blvd. and Pacific Coast Hwy. form a triangular plot housing a shopping center with a Target and a few eateries. Parking in their lot has worked out fine for us. Traffic signals afford a safe crossing to the V.A. side of 7th.

We will be on the sidewalk at the 7th Street entrance of the hospital. Traffic on 7th Street is heavy as it feeds directly from the freeway. Traffic signals stop drivers long enough to be able to read our signs. There is also the opportunity to talk with employees and patients as they come and go. We've had lots of positive reactions.

Signs promoting universal access to health care are encouraged. Some suggestions: Honk for Health Care .

No Repeal/No Replace/Yes Repair

Health Care is a Human Right

there are many more possibilities.....

Is it just me, or shouldn't we be displaying the American flag as well?
